About the Artist

Moving to the State of Washington prompted this Oklahoma “cowgirl” to pick up paint brushes and try watercolor without the aid of formal schooling but she has found nature a very willing and lenient teacher.

Out of the oil fields as one of the first female Gas Plant Operators and into the back roads of Whatcom County has been an experience that couldn't be traded for anything. Using some of the skills acquired from her job she's teaching her self to be still and merge with her now present surroundings. If you look for her she may be parked at the mouth of a raspberry or grape field, up the Nooksack drinking in the sights of a stream or falls, or in one of the lovely State parks doing what she's called to do, observing and learning.

She would like to credit the workshop teachers who patiently explained and demonstrated, it seemed to no good end and apologizes for “not getting it”.

One day Kim rounded a curve in mountains and God had splayed out his handiwork in a valley. Yep, the light went on and is still burning brightly in her own fashion as only she was created to do.

Enjoy..............Kim Wilson
